The Wonderful Invention of the Little Black Bag

posted on 27 June 2011

Handbags are a wonderful invention. The first person to think of making something that would allow you to carry around all your essentials while keeping your hands free was a pure genius. From evening bags to backpacks to satchels, there are bags for all kinds of uses and looks. Personally, I think that the best types of handbags are those that are really nice, fancy little backpacks. These allow you to look and feel stylish while not worrying about your bag falling, your strap slipping down your arm or the weight of everything pulling on one side of you. You can now get backpacks that are cute and totally modern, ones that would go with almost any outfit that you want to pair it with. Even if you get a small one there is still a lot of area to store your things in it. They are a lot bigger on the inside then they look from the outside. They make getting around with everything that you need, a heck of a lot easier.

It is known by everyone that colors speak about personality. But also they depend on the season, the occasion, the weather and even your mood, the color you want to wear! My favourite colour of pashmina is gold. Gold scarves really make me feel elegant. During winter it makes me look gorgeous, contrasting it with the rest of my outfit (generally dark) it also makes me feel comfortable and having present the Christmas Eve during all the time. Besides, I do not need more accessories. I can use it during the day or night, just with different clothes. The secret is trying different ways of wearing it. Close your eyes for a few seconds and think about colors. How they make you feel? Each one will make you arise different emotions or feelings and you will reflect them! Pay attention to them and choose the color that makes you feel special, confident and happy and just dare to wear it! You will be proud of yourself trying to.

Things I Wear That Make Me Feel Stylish

posted on 18 June 2011

I love to feel stylish and there are lots of things I can wear to help me feel that way. I believe that you can tell a lot about a person based on the shoes that they are wearing. I like to wear small thin shoes that form with my feet. As I have large feet, I need to buy special shoes, like Hotter shoes for example. Shoes are one thing that I will spend a lot of money on to get a name brand thing. Shirts and Shorts I am not to picky about where I get because most jeans etc. look pretty similar. I believe watches are really stylish though and if you have on a really classy silver watch I believe that a lot of people will judge you to be classy just from seeing your watch. With a good watch, and good shoes I think you can put off a good impression.

Men say that women torture themselves for the sake of fashion, and we also torture men - the buying niche of unique gifts for her often sees men walking up and down high streets without a clue what to buy their woman. High heels, pantyhose, and eyebrow plucking might make it seem like women truly have it rough. While women do have to endure some discomfort to look good one fashion invention makes our lives more comfortable while still maintaining a fashion forward look the wedge heel sandal. Wedges provide stability and still give women the benefit of making the legs and backside look slimmer. They are also perfect to wear in a variety of settings. You can wear a cute wedge sandal with a pair of jeans or casual shorts, yet that same shoe can work great with a flirty skirt to dress things up. These types of shoes also come in a variety of heights so that even women who are taller can still find a wedge they can feel comfortable wearing. Women may have to endure many pains for the sake of fashion but thanks to the wedge sandal life is a little more comfortable.

Safety Boots These Days a Lot More Comfortable Than I Remember

posted on 18 May 2011

I was lifting heavy objects the other day with a project on my house and I had to get myself some safety boots - I figured it would be a good investment as there will be several days ahead where I'm putting my little feet in danger while preparing my new extension to the house. And boy, was I in for a surprise - how comfortable they were! I'd not worn safety boots for a couple of decades, so I was expecting an experience as uncomfortable as I remember from the 80s. But I tell you - these boots were as comfortable as any pair of shoes I've worn - soft and warm inside, and tough on the outside. It put a spring in my step - being comfortable is a bonus when I'm doing this kind of work. I've taken to wearing these boots more and more, even outside of work.

Confetti for the Wedding? No, Spaghetti

posted on 14 May 2011

I had one job and one job only for my friend's wedding. Buy confetti for the bridesmaids to throw from the mezzanine of the barn as the happy couple walked back down the aisle as husband as wife. A simple task, and one with not much responsibility. It's not like I had to keep the wedding rings, or pick out a bridal comb tiara for the bride. But with so much else on, I got preoccupied with other things and forget about this little task...until that is I was driving to the barn on the day of the wedding. Panic. Being a Sunday there were not many shops open, and those that were had no confetti. Ever the resourceful one, my partner suggested rice, as this used to be a traditional alternative. I drove at top speed to the supermarket but no rice. The only thing I could find was spaghetti. Two packets were bought and as we drove to the ceremony my partner started breaking one pack up into as small pieces as she could. An acceptable compromise I thought and was reasonable calm as we did the handover to the kids. Unfortunately, we also left the second packet up on the mezzanine and confusing their instructions, it was the whole spaghetti that they rained down on the very confused bride and groom as the left the barn. I still don't think I have been forgiven.

Pearl Earrings

posted on 1 May 2011

Pearl earrings add a classy touch to any outfit. They are much more youthful and affordable then diamonds. This makes them an ideal choice for young girls and adults. However, they are the perfect pair of daily or fancy earrings for all ages of women! It is important to remove your pearl earrings before bathing because they can be harmed from the chemicals found in shampoo and treated water. If you need to clean them, wipe them down gently with a damp cloth. Also, it is important to keep them stored in their original box or in a soft pouch so that they do not get overexposed to the elements. If you are careful with your pearl earrings, they will last a lifetime and you will be able to pass them onto your children or grand children! Pearls are a life long investment and they should be treated with care so that they last for generations.

Not Just Birds are Attracted to Sparkly Things

My favourite fashion item is jewellery, and honestly: almost any kind of jewellery will do - from the gold diamante ring I own to necklaces to tiaras. I have a few gold pieces, the vast majority of my stuff is silver – some of it is made of cut glass, leather, sea-shells and beads. Jewellery is portable and easy to take with you, and the right piece to an outfit makes a statement or changes the intention of your style completely. I have sturdy, signature rings that give me confidence and strength and signal my inward determination to the outside world. I also own whimsical pieces with owls, cherries or tiny feathers and shells that are perfect for a playful summer outfit. I have amber and copper jewellery that makes me feel calm and natural and sort of grown-up. Silver looks best on my skin, but I love the feel of amber and with some outfits, gold is a must. All of my precious possessions are lined up in a decorative frame on the wall, and I never fail to pick out the right earrings to go with my daily outfit.
