Making My Backyard Ready For Summer BBQ and Parties!

posted on 3 March 2011

I have a small backyard space, and I could be using it for much more than the shabby little one chair and one table I have right out back now. If I could, I would build a proper back patio with a space for a grill so I could throw awesome BBQ parties all summer. I have the contacts to help me build this too - I work for a roofing services firm, and know a few people who could help me build this. I would need some lumber to make a nice wood floor for all this, and a big awning to protect the whole setup from the elements at least superficially. I would next need to get some more chairs. I would keep that simple. Two reclining lawn chairs and some simple black folding chairs for my guests is all I need for that. Finally, I would install a grill with a space for keeping charcoal and a small fridge/freezer that can stand up to being outside for all the meat we will eat in my backyard. That is what I would do given the time, money and motivation. DIY sure is fun.

Cold Drinks in the Trunk on a Hot Summer Day

posted on 28 February 2011

There is nothing like a cold refreshing beverage while driving down the street on a hot summer day, in the garden, under an EZ up gazebo. Many people are tempted to buy a fountain drink or bottle of juice from the local gas station. In those moments of parched desperation, you may spend as much as $20.00 per week to cool yourself off. A more economical way to quench your thirst is to keep a small cooler in the trunk of your vehicle at all times. Many fast food restaurants will let you fill up your cooler with ice for free or you can fill it up at home. Purchase a 24 pack of your favorite soft drinks or juices and keep the box in your trunk. Keep a few cans or bottles in the cooler at all times, and you will always have a drink to grab as you get in the car for your commute on that hot summer day.

posted on 26 February 2011

When it comes to some home appliances, it is good to invest in them even if it is going to cost you a fortune and stretch your pocket to a point of no return. This is because good appliances cost more because a lot of time, energy, skill and resources have been put in it in order to make sure that it is durable and effective at the same time. If you buy something that costs more, and the product is genuine in such a way that you can actually understand and see the reason why it is expensive, then get it. If you are in the area in basildon and you are looking to get good equipment that will clean your carpet well then make sure you go for the best carpet cleaner Basildon. Ask around from housewives and professional carpet cleaners which is the best one out there and make sure you understand why it is considered the best and if it suits your carpet. Getting quality things always require you to spend a lot.

Summer, the Brightest Among All the Seasons

posted on 21 February 2011

Summer season is the season of happiness. It’s the time for picnic, or just to relax in your back garden under one of those instant awnings that have become popular of late. Summer days are hot still we opt for outing in those days. Swimming, a kind of relaxation is only possible in summer. Compared to other seasons we have bright longest days in this season. I always wait for the summer to come as there is lot of activities to be done. We used to conduct summer camp both for students and elderly people. They enjoy one month of happiness with all the games, swimming and other activities etc. we usually make the camp near the shore of a beach so that swimming is possible. The other important thing is that we get so many fruits which can be made available only in this season. The main summer fruit is water melon, a cheap fruit compared to others. Another is blueberries which is very good for children. We can enjoy these fruits only in summer season. Also there are people who enjoy sunbath too.
