Making My Backyard Ready For Summer BBQ and Parties!

I have a small backyard space, and I could be using it for much more than the shabby little one chair and one table I have right out back now. If I could, I would build a proper back patio with a space for a grill so I could throw awesome BBQ parties all summer.
I have the contacts to help me build this too - I work for a roofing services firm, and know a few people who could help me build this.
I would need some lumber to make a nice wood floor for all this, and a big awning to protect the whole setup from the elements at least superficially. I would next need to get some more chairs. I would keep that simple. Two reclining lawn chairs and some simple black folding chairs for my guests is all I need for that. Finally, I would install a grill with a space for keeping charcoal and a small fridge/freezer that can stand up to being outside for all the meat we will eat in my backyard. That is what I would do given the time, money and motivation. DIY sure is fun.
